Robotics

During 2007 a group of students in grades 5 and 6 had the opportunity to be involved in a joint project with Scienceworks to develop an animatronics diorama.  This was the first time we had used robotics in the classroom and we used Lego Mindstorm to create a transport animatronics diorama.  This diorama was then transported to Scienceworks and went on display on September 6th.  The students had a wonderful time creating their diorama.  Here are some photos of them at work.

These students were then able to visit Scienceworks and see their diorama on display and sample some of the great activities available there.  A great time was had by all.

 Animation   

This year we have been working on animation techniques using PowerPoint.  This has been a lot of fun and students have been able to create animated figures and stories both at school and home using a common program that most students have at home.   Here are some animations that students made using PowerPoint.
